Metiri drive is a Hong Kong based start-up which has developed a patent pending AI system for driver proficiency rating. We work with driving schools to install our technology, allowing them to enhance their instructor's feedback. Our hardware and software system is the first of its kind and we are always looking for more driving schools to work with and improve our technology.

At Metiri Drive, we believe that driving lessons should be more than just learning to operate a vehicle. We believe that driving is a skill that requires practice, patience, and a deep understanding of road safety. Our mission is to redefine driving lessons and provide driving schools with information and metrics about a driver like never before. Our technology supports driving instructors in their assessment of a driver and enables them to provide critical feedback.

Our Journey So Far

2022

METIRI DRIVE IS FOUNDED

Metiri Drive was founded in 2022 with a vision to redefine driving lessons. We started with a small team of engineers and computer scientists and worked in cutting edge laboratories at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. We worked closely with experience driving instructors to understand their needs and requirements and to assess the impact of our technology.

2023

AI TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPED

In 2023, we completed development of a unique AI technology that classifies and assesses the driving skills of student drivers. The technology was developed exclusively at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and is patent-pending. We are now focused on bringing our technology to several driving schools and realising our mission from the beginning, to create an impactful technology that improves the road safety of tomorrow.
